MAC Global, the Middle East’s leading independent concert promoter and event producer, has announced ‘Bollywood Live In Concert’, an immersive musical journey bringing the heart of Bollywood to life through a combination of film, live music, and orchestral performance. This unique live concert experience will showcase the best loved scenes from legendary Bollywood films, featuring the most famous superstars on the big screen, accompanied by live renditions of the most memorable soundtracks.
Featuring songs that have captivated millions – spanning decades and generations – the performance will celebrate Bollywood’s most influential soundtracks. The live concert experience will transport fans through pivotal moments in Bollywood’s history, from first love to heartbreak, from joyous weddings to personal redemption. Tracks such as “Bole Chudiyan”, “Kesariya”, and “Channa Mereya” will be brought to life by a full band and orchestra.
The musical elements of the show will be overseen and arranged by Grammy Award-winning, Steve Sidwell. Sidwell is known for his adaptability across genres, from jazz and pop to classical and rock. He has orchestrated and arranged the music for the likes of Robbie Williams, George Michael, Amy Winehouse and Annie Lennox. He also arranged the music for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, which earned widespread praise for its vibrant and dynamic orchestration that celebrated British culture.
Bollywood is one of the biggest industries in the world, with actors such as Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt becoming global icons and shaping culture through their music and on-screen presence.
With an estimated 18 million Indians living overseas, according to the UN World Migration Report 2024, the impact of the Indian diaspora is profound, both culturally and economically. “This concert will resonate with Bollywood fans worldwide and will offer an unforgettable journey into one of India’s cultural treasures” said Daniel Goldberg, CEO of MAC Global.
